Disclaimer: Rovner's works are INCREDIBLE in person, but most are made for video format at not static photos, so this blog post doesn't even begin to do it justice.

2018 was a great year for Rovner. Not only did she have her 60th + solo show, she won the EMET Prize which is awarded by the A.M.N. Foundation for the Advancement of Science, Art and Culture in Israel.
“The EMET Prize is awarded to Michal Rovner for her outstanding pioneering achievements in the field of photography in the broad sense of the medium, for her artistic language which challenges the boundaries of the medium in still photography, video and multi-media installations; and for her work that explores political, historical and existential issues, that are at once local-mythical and universal.”—EMET Prize Jury Statement
Rovner splits her time between New York and Israel.
